Scarboro is a hilltop inner-city community west of the Beltline, beyond Sunalta, between 12 Avenue and 17 Avenue SW, from 16 Street west to Crowchild Trail. The Canadian Pacific Railway hired the Olmsted Brothers landscape firm to design it in 1909, and its curving, tree-lined streets, small triangle parks and deep front yards still follow that plan. A 1911 caveat on title limits most lots to single-family homes with generous setbacks.
Most homes (88%) are detached houses, and 89% of households own their home, so listings are scarce: 12 homes sold over the last 12 months, mostly for about $1.12M to $2.04M. The live listings are below, followed by prices, the Olmsted plan, schools and how Scarboro compares.
