Britannia is a small estate community on the ridge above the Elbow River in southwest Calgary, west of Elbow Drive and north of 50 Avenue SW. The City of Calgary itself planned it in the early 1950s, laying out landscaped boulevards and selling the lots with caveats on setbacks and height, and its streets, including Britannia Drive, Coronation Drive and Imperial Way, were named for the 1953 coronation. Queen Elizabeth II toured it in 1959.
With only about 300 homes, very few come up for sale: 9 sold over the last 12 months, and its detached benchmark is $2,065,800. The live listings are below, followed by prices, Britannia Plaza, the river parks and how Britannia compares.
