Collingwood sits between Nose Hill Park and Confederation Park. Nose Hill Park, more than 1,100 hectares of grassland and trails, is across John Laurie Boulevard, and Confederation Park, created in 1967, runs along the south side with pathways, tennis courts and the Lions Festival of Lights each December.

The City's Confederation Park Golf Course, a 9-hole course with a double-decker driving range, is on Collingwood Drive.

Collingwood shares the Triwood Community Association with Charleswood. Its hall and arena on Chicoutimi Drive, in neighbouring Charleswood, have public skating, an outdoor rink and a summer market.

Charleswood, its Triwood neighbour to the west, is the closest match and a little pricier. Rosemont, across 14 Street, is similar in price and borders Confederation Park.
